Phase 1: Relief Care

Thumbs Up to Relief

3

Many people go to a chiropractor for the first time because the problem they are having hasn't been helped through medication or physical therapies. In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms. Sometimes this will require daily visits, or two to three visits per week for a time.

Your condition may also necessitate the need for nutritional supplementation; nutrients that have been depleted in your body that are necessary to help in the healing of damaged tissues and functions of the body.  This is a critical consideration and not one to be taken lightly, nor assume that what you have self prescribed for yourself is adequate.  Not all supplements are created equal and we make it our business to associate with companies that use only top quality raw materials and whose quality controls exceeds the recommendations of the FDA. Be assured that you are getting the same quality products that we give our own family!

About Pain

Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.

For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease? Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last thing to appear. When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains. Remember, this is a starting place, not the destination.
